Domestic Violence Council of Anoka County
Mission:
Our mission is to create a community-wide collaboration that will work toward eliminating domestic violence in Anoka County.
Core Values:
- Violence is never acceptable.
- Domestic assault is a crime.
- The perpetuation of domestic violence is a choice.
- Abusers are responsible for their behavior.
- Victims/survivors are not to blame for the violence.
- The dignity and rights of victims/survivors must be publicly supported.
- Domestic violence is a community problem.
- All people are to be treated equally and with respect.
- Everyone has a right to be safe.
Membership consists of public and private organization representatives and community members. The Council meets the first Thursday of the month from 3:00 to 4:30 at the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office in Andover.
